Joining The Blast was a great decision! I worked out at a health club for almost two years with little results. It was hard for me to motivate myself to go, and even when I did go, I wasn't motivated to work myself ver...

11/05/09 – Halloween Havoc MMA Results

Members of Team Blast competed in Stateline’s Halloween Havoc MMA show this past Halloween night in Beloit, Wi.  It was a successful night for Team Blast, as we won 2 out of 3 matches.

Mike Graham began the night with a short, but action packed bout.  He was Mike - Halloween Havocvictorious in 8 short seconds of MMA action.  Mike started the fight with a powerful rear thai kick, buckling his opponent and quickly finished him with a barrage of punches and kicks.

Neil[1]Neil Crabtree followed Mike’s fight in the light heavy weight division against a much taller opponent.  The height was not an issue, as Neil came out and immediately took his opponent to the ground and continued to take him down at will for the two rounds of action.  Half way through the second round, Neil took his opponent down and gained control of his back where he proceeded to ground and pound him and end the fight with a rear naked choke.

Olson[1]The final Team Blast fighter of the night was Assistant instructor Matt Olson.  A confident Matt began the bout with a strong boxing combination, landing a cross that stunned his opponent.  Fearing Matt’s striking ability, his opponent took him to the ground, placing Matt on his back.  Matt, easily warding out his opponents ground and pound results, swept him and ended up in his opponents guard.  Beginning his own ground and pound, his opponent snagged a tight arm bar, which Matt fought off as long as he could.

It was another great night of fights and strong performance from Team Blast.  Check out our youtube page for the fights:  http://www.youtube.com/user/THEBLASTMA
