We have a great opportunity coming up in 2010 to bring new classes to the Kids Programs, including bringing back our E.L.I.T.E. Warriors class. Also new to the schedule will be the Fall, Spring and Summer sessions which will allow kids to take a break during the summer without missing belt testings.
Additional Little, Junior, and Senior Warrior classes will be added on Tuesday and Thursday, 1 hour earlier than the Monday and Wednesday classes. These classes will cover the same curriculum techniques; Monday and Tuesday classes will match techniques and Wednesday and Thursday classes will cover the same material. Students should come to either Monday and Wednesday classes or Tuesday and Thursday, however if a child misses a class, the matching day can be used as a make up day to stay up to date on material and stripes.
In addition to the additional Warrior classes, we will be bringing back our E.L.I.T.E. Warriors program. The E.L.I.T.E. class will be focused on learning exciting new weapons techniques from the Filipino Martial Art of Kali. Rattan and Padded Sticks are required in this class and students will need to be nominated to join this program. Please speak to Josh for further information and what the students needs to be nominated for the E.L.I.T.E. class.
The final update to our kids program will be the addition of three sessions throughout the year, which will coincide the the normal school year (Fall, Spring, and Summer). The main reason for the session divisions is to accommodate the busy summer schedules of our families and offer a more laid back summer session for those children who may want to train for just the summer. The Fall Session will run from September through January, Spring Session from February through May and the Summer Session from June through August. Fall and Spring will have belt testings at the end of the session with the Summer Session having no belt testing.
