The statistics and numbers on women being attacked or sexually assaulted are very scary and even more real. Self defense does not need to be complicated, but it does need to be realistic. The BLAST’S Personal Protection Program is based on 8 basic techniques designed to be effective for any person, regardless of size. These ‘Tools of the Trade’ are designed to cause quick and instant pain to an assailant in order to escape the attack. In addition to teaching the techniques, the program explains how the 8 techniques can work on the 5 vital areas of the body (Areas of Attack) and also cover situational scenarios. The best way to defend yourself is to be prepared.

The program is divided into three parts:

1. Standing grabs and holds
2. Ground grabs and holds
3. Weapons attacks.
