Before moving to Madison, I would try to keep in shape by running and moderate weight lifting. I was in pretty decent shape, but not even close to my potential....
Don’t have time to make it to the Fitness Bootcamp or our other martial arts classes? Don’t like working out in a class because you feel intimidated or just prefer to work one-on-one with an instructor? If these are reasons you aren’t working out, then you should start personal training with Mike “The Volt” Vaughn. Regardless of your goal, whether it is superb physical fitness, learning martial arts skills for self-defense or taking your martial arts to the next level, personal training with “The Volt” is for you.
Personal Fitness Training with Mike “The Volt” Vaughn
Mike “The Volt” Vaughn has a unique approach to fitness training, one that many fitness centers and other personal trainers don’t offer their clients. FACT: Many fitness centers won’t cater to your needs. They simply sign you up and then let you figure everything out by yourself. If you do choose to get a trainer, most of them are hands off, taking you through tedious, redundant routines on exercise machines with little excitement to push you through the physical and mental challenges you’ll encounter in your workouts. Personal training with Mike is nothing like this. He believes that fitness must be fun and unpredictable in order for you to enjoy working out and continue even through those hard workouts. Mike does not sit down during the training session. He is always moving around, giving you instruction, words of encouragement, and helping you persevere through the workout challenges. Mike observes everything you do from proper technique to overall body language to ensure you receive the best workout possible. If you are not enjoying what you are doing, Mike will adjust the workout to better fit your personality. Everyone is motivated by different things; whether it is reaching goals, encouraging words or something else, Mike excels at adapting and adjusting to what his trainee needs to give them the best work out. Let Mike shine a new light on your idea of working out, and let him help you reach your goals!
